The Robinsons | An Afternoon At Home

Okay, guys. This family singlehandedly ruined me for culling. I had way too many favorites so what you have here is a very long but very loved blog post of a beautiful family here in Ann Arbor. Katie is the incredibly talented owner of Blackbird Bonnets (check them out at DIYpsi this year!) and she, along with her kiddos, Miles and June, and husband, Luke, were such a joy to photograph.

Since having my own baby, I have been drawn much more to photographs at home. Photographs of families just being families. Kids just being kids. The little moments that happen during day to day life that are beautiful and real and almost always go undocumented. Those are what I want to photograph for the families I work with. And I think that’s why I loved this session sooo much. This beautiful family just relaxed with each other and let me really see how they are together. And I think it made for some perfect moments to photograph.
