At just about any other wedding on the planet, I would’ve ducked my head down in shame if the best man started his speech with the words, “So…am I the only one who thinks they’re rushing into this?” But not at Audrey and Paul’s wedding. No, sir. What the best man’s thick sarcasm alluded to were the twelve years Audrey and Paul had spent together before that day. So, as you can imagine, their family and friends erupted in laughter and you could sense the joy and spirit of celebration on each of their faces. And that was the tone of the whole day, really. It was a relaxed celebration which paid honor to Audrey and Paul’s personalities – the rustic elegance of Misty Farm, the home-brewed beer during cocktail hour and the hops designed into the boutonnieres. The cider and spiced doughnuts set out among the colorful fall leaves. It was a perfect fall day and a perfect celebration of their love.
