I could not have handpicked a better family to start my blog with than this one. Nick used to be my brother-in-law’s roommate before they each got married and had babies. I was so thrilled to hear from his wife, Leslie, out of the blue one day inquiring about a session.
As soon as I walked in the cute green door, I knew Liam and Luke were going to make my job easy! Luke’s face was covered in sweet potatoes (not in the “ew, what’s that kid have on his face?” way but in an “aww, isn’t he precious” way) and Liam was snacking on a pear in nothing but a diaper! What better than naked babies to get things started!?
Liam was full of smiles and, though sometimes he liked to hide behind his hands, was really not shy at all. And Luke had the perfect little baby rolls and cheeks. They made my camera melt! We had a great time playing with trains and Liam’s plastic food – he even shared his brownies and ice cream!
Leslie and Nick, I had a great time working and playing with your family – thank you! You are a beautiful and happy family – and it shows! Here’s a sneak peek …
Here’s Liam – check out those eyes!:
Does anyone remember the Teddy Ruxpin song, “my buddy, my buddy…my buddy and me”? Brothers and buddies, Luke and Liam:
Leslie: “What does your brother do, Liam?”
Liam: “He wiggles.”, he replied in the cutest little voice imaginable. What a funny answer! Here’s Luke wiggling:
Liam took a couple of breaks from my camera to hide:
He knows how to work it!:
Luke’s little piggies:
The lovely Leslie and Liam:
When I took the image above, Leslie mentioned that while Liam sucks on his fingers, he holds her hand with his other hand. Adorable.:
I loved this mother/son moment. It was written all over Liam’s face how secure he felt.:
These two are going to have some big adventures together – can’t you just see them in the works?:
And what good friends they will be!:
I could tell Nick and Liam had a blast together. They sure knew how to make each other laugh.:
Look at this teeny tiny double chin!:
Smooches!:
Nowhere better than on Dad’s lap:
After a while, we went downstairs to play with Liam’s trains.:
And there were piggy-back rides…:
And smiles galore:
When we went upstairs to Luke’s room, we found this surprise in his crib! Meet Gizmo or Gomo, as Liam says. I loved that!:
Luke’s room was so cute! I loved all of the little things around the room to make it cozy.:
And I couldn’t leave without one last shot of Luke’s little belly!:
