Matt and Alice’s wedding was like none other I’ve seen – in the most beautiful way. A weekend at a beautiful private home on Lake Michigan, good food, a few dear family and friends and marriage vows spoken into the wind rolling off the waves of the lake. An intimate and relaxed way to celebrate their long-standing love. So intimate and relaxed that the day involved making their vows in front the big lake when the spirit moved them, flying a kite and sunset dancing along the shoreline of Lake Michigan.
These two were a celebration all by themselves and it makes me SO happy to be able to capture that joy. As I photographed Alice and Matt dancing in the frigid Lake Michigan water with the waves crashing past them, I may or may not have yelled to myself, “I love my job!”
