You guys. When I arrived to Townsend Park for this session, I walked down the trail to scout out where we would be shooting and a bagpiper started to play “Amazing Grace” off in the distance. There were pine needles carpeting the trail (which is just about one of my favorite things in the whole world) and the evening light was just starting to seep through the trees. It was really magnificent and I felt so honored to photograph Katherine and Patrick almost one year to the day after they wed.
Katherine emailed me a while back to see if we could recreate some wedding photographs – not to “trash the dress” or anything like that – but just to have some photographs of her and Patrick in this natural setting. It was a perfect setting indeed and it was a rare treat to photograph a couple in their wedding attire without the pressure of the wedding day clock .
Happy anniversary, Katherine and Patrick!
P.S. Isn’t Katherine’s floral crown beautiful? Both the crown and Katherine’s bouquet were created by Modern Day Floral in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
