On Saturday, I had the privilege of spending the morning with a great family on the most beautiful day so far this year. Heather works with my cousin, Jen, and I had been hearing about her daughter, Hannah’s, cute little smile for weeks so I was thrilled when Heather contacted me to say she and her husband, Jeremy, wanted photos of her and their son, Nolan. These two were both – as you’ll see in a second – absolutely adorable and I had such a great time documenting the family as they enjoyed each other.
We started the session inside just sort of playing on the floor and then I was serenaded by the family as they sang “On Top of Spaghetti” and songs from “Annie” and “The Little Mermaid”. After a while, Heather joked they were the Von Trapp family. I thought they sounded great!
Then we headed outside so Hannah could blow lots of bubbles and run around in the grass. I truly had never seen so many bubble makers – she had about 20 different kinds! I had a great time with this family and definitely enjoyed getting outside to soak up the nice weather we were having.
Heather and Jeremy, it was so nice to meet you and your little ones. Thank you for inviting me to document your family! It was a pleasure to spend the morning with all of you. And a special thanks to my cousin, Jen, who sent them my way. Here are some of my favorites from the day although they were pretty tough to narrow down!
Just look at these expressions!:
I just loved Hannah’s pigtails!:
We did the session at Heather’s sister, Krista’s, house and they had such a great backyard for playing. Here are Krista and Nolan:
When I saw the image of Hannah on the top, right, I just laughed right out loud! In one split second, I think this sums up why it’s so great to be a kid! And I loved the image below it where Jeremy is brushing her off after a fall. I’m sure there’s a lot of that to come.
We were also joined by Heather’s mom, who I could tell just adored these little bugs! Forgive me, I grew up in a family that calls kids “bugs”.
And this one was my favorite from the day. It just makes me feel happy!
