It’s amazing, astounding and even a little alarming how fast five years of your life can go by.
Five years ago today, it was a perfect day in Georgia. Warm and sunny with lots of new green spring growth tucked away in the nooks of all the brown remnants of winter. Five years ago, my friends and family thought I was crazy for wanting to spend half of a year hiking from Georgia to Maine with just what I could fit in the pack on my back. But, five years ago I was just as stubborn and iron-willed as I am today. So five years ago, I started walking north to chase down the biggest dream I’d ever had. Every day for the next seven months was a new adventure filled with new friends making crazy vivid memories all the way to Maine.
I’m so thankful for those memories and for my stubbornness in chasing them down. I hope this finds you well on whatever path you’ve dreamed up for yourself.
