As I said when I posted a little peek last week, Christina and Jerry’s wedding day was epic. A ruffled gown here, a castle-like backdrop there…and everything in between. So, grab a hot cup of tea and snuggle in…there’s a lot to see here. And then there’s a slideshow at the end to jam in even more!
When Christina pulled out her gown with the beaded top and ruffled bottom, I was certain the day would be filled with nonstop goodness. And then she pulled out her shoes. You know, just to shed any doubt.
Radiant. Just radiant.
Once we were done with the finishing touches, we headed to Academy of the Sacred Heart where the ceremony would soon take place. The light all around the place was so lovely…
And so was Christina!
One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is watching the groom’s face as the processional begins. This time around, I sort of felt like Jerry wanted to jump off of the altar and run to the back of the church and march Christina right up there with him. But he must have resisted because the flower girls were so darn cute as they walked up he aisle.
Another favorite part of the wedding day? Stolen glances during the ceremony…
Then, when everything was official, everyone headed to Meadow Brook Hall for the rest of the celebrations. Meadow Brook is just a dream, really. Everywhere I turned, there was something I wanted to photograph. And, let me just say…it was March in Michigan. These men and ladies were SO amazing to brave the frigid temperatures for photographs outside. And, if you ask me, it was SO worth it because the light out there was so kind to them.
Husband and wife!
We also walked around inside for some romantic photos. And, in case you haven’t noticed yet, Jerry and Christina seem to just belong in front of the camera. They never once hesitated to show their love…and I love that.
This brings me to another one of my parts of the day…the details! I love capturing the mood a couple has created for their day…the reflection of their personalities, if you will, and Jerry and Christina’s details were just jaw-dropping.

Christina and Jerry: Thank you, thank you, thank you for trusting me throughout your wedding day. Although I often believe newlyweds can’t feel the cold on their wedding day, I’m still totally impressed that you both braved the weather for the sake of capturing some amazing memories. It was a huge honor for me to be there that day and I truly appreciate your openness. I wish you both a happy and healthy lifetime together! Big hugs,
nicole
