My favorite thing to capture when photographing people is emotion. Laughter, surprise, happy tears, anticipation, relief…anything. Just as long as it’s pure emotion. And, while most weddings provide a good mix of these, Bethany and Chuck’s wedding day seemed to have an abundance. From Bethany’s smile and laughter about bridesmaid dress mishaps as she walked into the church all the way to her look of mild panic as she sat in a chair on the dance floor waiting to be lifted by a few strong men for 3-5 minutes during a traditional song that evening. There were happy tears from the moms, laughter from the sisters and the aunts and pure joy on the faces of the newlyweds.

This is the part of the best man’s toast where he spilled the beans about Chuck planning their first dates so they did not interfere with sports games. I love Bethany’s look of disbelief.
