Seattle 2012

Earlier this month Eric and I headed out to Seattle for our third visit. I always say I have a terrible memory but, wow, I really do forget just how green things can be until I go back to Washington. It’s such a beautiful place. So I just wanted to stop in and share a few highlights from our trip with you because it’s Monday and I’m finding myself daydreaming about being back.

A trip to Seattle must include coffee. And a croissant. I’m usually a tea drinker but… when in Rome. So, one lovely morning we sat at Le Rêve Bakery & Café in Queen Anne.

We also did a bit of small bit of hiking while we visited. Mailbox Peak was a tough climb with around 4,000 feet gained in 2.5 miles. Whoa. But check out those views.

The next morning, we headed out for Olympic National Park but our first stop was the ferry to Bainbridge Island.

So, this photo is standing in for the one I should have of the bear we saw. But Eric wouldn’t let me take the time to change my lens in order to get a good photograph. Alas, there were deer everywhere.

Back in Seattle, we ate delicious food and drank some delicious craft beer. And a big thanks to Aruna for recommending Via Tribunali before our first trip. It’s now a tradition!

If, like me, you still want to see more from Seattle and Washington, you can check out our first trip here and our second trip here. Happy Monday, friends. Hope you get to daydream a little.

P.S. Most – but not all – of these photos were taken on film, Fuji Pro 400H. I’m mostly reminding my future self (see above about bad memory).
